FAQ's
What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens. I get it. Portrait sessions can usually be rescheduled with enough notice at no charge (weather and illness included). Weddings are handled case by case per our contract, and I'll always do my best to work with you.
What should we wear for our session?
Neutral tones tend to photograph beautifully and work with just about any location — think creams, tans, soft grays, and earthy tones. I'd steer away from busy patterns or bright colors, as they can pull focus from what matters most: you. If you'd like a little extra guidance, I'm happy to send over a style guide after booking!
How long does it take to get our photos?
You'll receive a sneak peek within 48 hours of your session — because the wait is the hardest part! Full portrait galleries are delivered within 2 weeks, and wedding galleries within 6–8 weeks. You'll receive a private online gallery link where you can download, share, and order prints.
Can I request specific shots or poses?
Of course. I love when clients share inspiration photos or a must-have list. That said, my job is to keep things feeling natural and unforced, so I'll use your list as a guide while leaving room for the real, in-between moments too.
What's your editing style?
Bright, airy, and timeless — with warm skin tones and a natural, true-to-life feel. I want your photos to still feel like you in 20 years, not a filter trend.
How do I officially book a session or wedding?
Once we've chatted and you're ready to move forward, I'll send over a short questionnaire to help me get to know you and your vision. After that, you'll receive a contract and a retainer invoice. Your date is held as soon as both are signed and paid — it's that simple.
Do I have to pay in full at the time of booking?
Nope! I'm more than happy to split payments up into a schedule that works for you. Most bookings require at least 50% at the time of signing to hold your date, with the remainder due before your session or wedding day.
How do I store and protect your images?
Your images are protected from the very first click. My camera shoots to two memory cards simultaneously, so there are already two copies before I even leave the session. Once I'm home, I back everything up to two separate SSDs as well, so your photos are safe across four copies total.
How do you handle low light scenerios?
My gear is built to handle low light beautifully. My lenses have wide apertures that let in plenty of light, so I can capture sharp, clear images even as the sun goes down or indoors in dim venues. When natural light isn't enough on its own, I'll supplement in flash to make sure your photos stay bright, clear, and true to the moment, without losing that natural feel.
How many photos will I get from my session?
I don't put a specific number on this, because every session is different and I'd rather focus on capturing the best moments than hitting a quota. What I can promise is a full gallery that truly tells the story of your day, so you'll walk away with a complete and beautiful collection to look back on for years to come.
